Caster Offroad was founded over 30 years ago in Baltimore, Maryland by our owner Jon. What began as a small group of enthusiasts with a passion for restoring Jeeps quickly grew into something more. Our very first build—a 1980 CJ7 automatic—set the tone for what would become a long-standing commitment to quality and durability.

As we worked on more vehicles, we noticed a recurring issue: many stock replacement parts were prone to rust and corrosion. In response, we began sourcing and installing higher-quality aftermarket components, often favoring stainless steel for its longevity and performance. Before long, we were working on dozens of Jeeps throughout the Baltimore area.

In 2001, we relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where the off-road community—and opportunity—was even greater. Drawing from our experience, we began offering the same carefully selected components online through third-party marketplaces. These weren’t off-the-shelf products; we sourced parts nationwide, evaluating them based on finish, strength, material properties, and real-world performance.

By 2005, we expanded into metal forming and fabrication, designing and producing our own components, including flag nuts and specialty hardware. While we continued to work on fewer vehicles directly, demand for our products grew across the country. As the Jeep market expanded, so did our product line—always with a focus on maintaining quality while keeping costs reasonable for our customers.

Today, Caster Offroad manufactures key components for many Jeep models, such as CJs, Wranglers, and Cherokees, but we remain grounded in the same values that started it all. We’re still a small business at heart, and we believe Jeeping is more than a hobby—it’s a community. We treat our customers with the same respect and care we would expect ourselves.

From those early days in Baltimore—sharing stories over a Pabst Blue Ribbon and a bushel of Old Bay–seasoned crabs—to where we are today, our mindset hasn’t changed. We may never be the biggest, but our goal is simple: to be a company Jeep owners can rely on for honest service and high-quality parts.
